A window manager for busy Macs

Every window, in one smooth row.

CarouselMac lines up every window on your Mac in a single row you glide through. Press one key to arrange, swipe to move between apps, and press it again to put everything back exactly where it was.

14-day money-back guarantee. For macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Works with every app you already use.

Every app gets its own spot in one tidy row.

How it works

Three moves cover almost everything.

Your windows stay full size and fully usable. CarouselMac only decides where they sit, and which one is in front of you.

Glide between apps

The app you're using sits in the middle of the screen. Neighbours wait on either side, so moving on is one key or one swipe.

⌃⌥←→or⌥+ swipe

Flip through a stack

Several windows from one app share one spot as a neat deck, with the ones behind peeking out. Flip to the next like turning a page.

⌃⌥↑↓or⌥+ swipe up

Put them side by side

Need two windows from the same app at once? Spread the stack out. Two windows split the screen exactly in half.

⌃⌥E
Shortcuts

One modifier. One key.

Every shortcut is the same two keys held down plus one more, and none of them clash with macOS's own. Try them right here.

Hold⌃⌥then press

On a trackpad, hold ⌥ and swipe: sideways for apps, up and down for windows. The row follows your fingers.

Prefer other keys? Every shortcut can be changed, and Arrange can even be a single function key.

Your turn. Press ⌃⌥→ or click a key.Swipe with ⌥ held works here too.

Questions

Does it change my windows for good?

No. Press ⌃⌥↩ again and every window goes back to exactly where it was. Quitting CarouselMac does the same, and if it's ever force-quit, it puts everything back the next time it opens.

Is it a subscription?

No. CarouselMac is a single payment of with free updates, and one license covers up to of your own Macs.

Can I try it before buying?

The demos on this page are built from the real thing: the desktop at the top acts out every move, and the shortcut playground responds to the same keys and swipes as the app. And if CarouselMac isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.

What's your refund policy?

Email [email protected] within 14 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked. See the refund policy for details.

Will it clash with shortcuts I already use?

Every shortcut is ⌃⌥ plus one key, chosen to stay clear of macOS's built-in shortcuts. CarouselMac checks for clashes on your Mac and flags any it finds. If an app you rely on already uses ⌃⌥, switch everything to ⌃⌥⌘ in one click.

What happens to full-screen apps, dialogs and small utility windows?

They're left alone. Full-screen apps keep their own Space, and dialogs, Calculator, picture-in-picture video and other small fixed-size windows float above the row as usual.

Does it work with more than one display, and with Spaces?

Yes. Each display gets its own row, and ⌃⌥D sends a window to the next one. Each desktop Space keeps its own row too, and your order is remembered after a restart.

I use a mouse, not a trackpad.

Hold ⌥ and turn the scroll wheel to move between apps, or use the keys. The strip of app icons at the bottom of the screen is clickable as well.

I lost my license key.

Enter the email you used at checkout on the license recovery page and we'll resend it. To move a license to a new Mac, choose Deactivate This Mac in CarouselMac's Settings first.

What do I need?

A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, and a minute to allow Accessibility. Screen Recording is only needed if you want live previews in Overview.
